The Beatles Christmas Vee-Jay Picture Sleeve 1964 issued during the Christmas season in December of 1964. The true definition of MINT! UNUSED and UN-CIRCULATED DIRECTLY FROM THE VJ FACTORY. This sleeve has NEVER had a record inside of it. So it is truly pristine. It was acquired by fab4collectibles.com from a former Vee-Jay employee directly from a shipping box of 25 sleeves. Included is a photo of my purchase invoice from fab4collectibles. There is nothing comparable on Ebay in regard to this particular item. Only used sleeves. This sleeve looks like it was printed today, not in 1964! Please be aware that the slight glue coloration on the sides of the sleeve is normal and unavoidable; as acid-free paper was not used on record sleeves in 1964. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ABOUT "THE BEATLES CHRISTMAS PICTURE SLEEVE" IN EARLY OCTOBER OF 1964, VEE-JAY PREPARED A SPECIAL BEATLES PICTURE SLEEVE FOR THE HOLIDAY SEASON. THE SLEEVE WAS CREATED TO ENCOURAGE DISTRIBUTORS TO PLACE LARGE ORDERS OF BEATLES SINGLES PRIOR TO VEE-JAY LOSING ITS RIGHTS TO MANUFACTURE AND DISTRIBUTE BEATLES PRODUCTS. THESE RIGHTS WERE SET TO EXPIRE ON OCTOBER 15, 1964. THUS, THE FACTORIES HAD APPROXIMATELY ONE WEEK TO EITHER PRESS SINGLES TO BE INSERTED INTO THE SLEEVES OR TO RE-SLEEVE EXISTING RECORDS. THIS ATTRACTIVE HOLIDAY SLEEVE IS AMONG THE MORE POPULAR BEATLES PICTURE SLEEVES FOR COLLECTORS. Rest assured that it will be shipped in a proper ultra-clear polypropylene sleeve and be packaged safely and securely. There is a very thin cardboard insert inside of the sleeve for rigidity. I do not know if that insert came directly from Vee-Jay or was inserted by fab4collectibles.
