Once asleep, Sorcerer Mickey, directs a universe filling with rising waters brought in by a hundred brooms with buckets! This wonderful Schmid 50th Anniversary Fantasia Music Box measures 11” tall 9 1/2” in diameter and weighs almost 10 pounds! It will certainly be a centerpiece of attention in any room. This Limited Edition #680 of 1000 Mickey’s Sorcerer Apprentice Music Box has never been displayed and has No Chips, Cracks, Breaks or Repairs. The Music Box works perfectly. Disney Artist Preston Blair was tasked with animating Sorcerer Mickey who as the Apprentice (and in the absence of his master) borrows the magic hat and orders the broom to take over the tedious chore of bringing in water from the well to fill a great tub. While the broom goes about this task, Mickey falls asleep and dreams of how his new magical powers could command the forces of the universe. On his awakening he finds the workshop flooded and the Apprentice does not know how to stop it. The situation is saved only by the return of the Sorcerer, who magically clears the workshop of water and brooms alike! As 1990 marked the 50th Anniversary of the original release of Fantasia in 1940, this wonderful Schmid Music Box was issued to celebrate the event.
