Used, excellent condition Guaranteed Working Converter was pulled from working equipment. Cosmetic condition is very good with light signs of use. What’s Included: 1x Fortel DTV HD-SDI Up/Down/Cross Converter Does not include any additional cables, parts or accessories. Description The UDC-55X provides enhanced Up/Down/Cross conversion for use in broadcast, mobile production, or facilities where simultaneous SD and HD or multiple forms of HD must be provided. It can process SD (SMPTE 259M-C) signals into HD (SMPTE 292M) , HD to SD, or HD to HD. Format conversion adjusts automatically to the input selected, or if the input format changes in HD, the cross conversion feature allows the UDC-55X to convert from 720p to 1080i or vice versa. All popular variations of 720p, 1080i, and 1080p/24 are supported. The UDC-550 converts between any HD signals within the 59.94/23.98/29.97 family, within the 50 / 25 fps family, or within the 60 / 30 fps family. 3:2 pulldown is used when converting between 59.94 and 23.98. Film mode is automatically detected. And, if the DAS-441 audio option is used, audio is easily embedded or dembedded for analog audio or AES audio with synchronizing and processing parrallel with the video output of the UDC-55X. All processing is performed on progressive signals at full bandwidth 4:4:4, for optimum signal quality. Signals are interlaced and de-interlaced as required with motion adaption and edge interpolation. Aspect ratio conversion choices include: Letterbox, Anamorphic, Crop and Zoom. For letterbox formats, side pillar keying can be accomplished by setting input B to the same output format, which is then internally keyed when upconverting from 4:3 to 16:9. Input standards and frame rates are auto-detected. The built-in Proc Amp provides adjustment of signal parameters with controls for Video, Chroma, Setup and Hue. Vertical interval data is passed from SD to HD and upconverted outputs are timed with respect to the reference input. The Downconversion process includes Picture Detail Enhancement and Anti-Alias Filtering, to provide picture clear quality for SD outputs. It’s Perfect-PaletteTM legalizer fixes gamma errors by analyzing colors and then correctly adapting each pixel to values without causing hue shift.
