OBJECTIVE MOSCOW The Death of Communism War Simulation Game Detergent / Monster Box!!! Date published: 4/1/1978 Designed by: Joe Angiolillo Developed by: Phil Kosnett Data: A divisional-level simulation of invasions of the Soviet Union, projected 20 years into the 'future.' (The box attack date is '27 June 1998.') This is a land/sea/air game of the hypothetical invasion of the former U.S.S.R. in the late 1970s and at the end of the 20th century. The area depicted on the map covers from Paris to Turkey, to Iraq and central Asia, to China as far south as Peking, to Japan, Korea, and Alaska. In all, units of more than 30 nations are included. This is truly a 'World War' monster game set in Modern times. Several Scenarios are postulated, including a NATO counteroffensive after a Soviet invasion of Western Europe, a Chinese invasion of Siberia, and an Iranian campaign of expansion in the Middle East. Scenarios taking place later postulate an alliance of the USA, a United Europe, Iran, China, and other countries joining for the conquest of the Soviet Union. The game was/is the spin-off / follow-up to the very popular Invasion America - but this one doubled the size, with 4 full color maps and 1200 counters. The maps cover all of the USSR, Scandinavia, most of Europe as far west as Paris and as far south as Turkey, the Middle East including Iran and much of Iraq, central Asia, China as far south as Peking, all of Japan, Korea, and even part of Alaska! Units from over 30 countries are in the counter mix! Game is Complete Punched Counters Rules Maps have some wear, useage, foxing, but still in fair condition.
