Privacy

Audio Drop has no accounts, analytics, ads or tracking. Your library, captures, voice takes and export counts stay on your computer. The sections below list everything the app sends over the network.

Freesound

Your Freesound API key and sign-in tokens are stored only on your own device. When you sign in, apopstore.com relays the one-time sign-in exchange with Freesound and does not store or log your tokens, username or any other Freesound account data. Sounds and previews are downloaded directly from Freesound to your device and are never hosted or served by us.

Purchases and license keys

Payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy, which collects your payment details and email; we never see card numbers. When you activate a license, Audio Drop sends your license key and a random anonymous ID for your computer to apopstore.com, which verifies the key against its own license records and returns a signed token; it checks again about every two weeks, and when you remove the license or free your other computers. We store the key, the computer IDs that are using it, a short log of license events, and a one-way hash of your IP address used only to limit abuse. Your computer's name is never sent. Lemon Squeezy shares your order number and license key with apopstore.com when you buy or are refunded, but not your payment details or email. Export counts are stored only on your device.

Feature availability check

At launch, and every few hours while it runs, Audio Drop downloads a small settings file from apopstore.com that says which online features are available. The request contains nothing about you or your files. Like any web request, it reveals your IP address to our host, Cloudflare; we do not log or store it.

Web Capture

Web Capture runs on your computer. The web addresses you enter and the media you capture go directly between your computer and the websites you visit; they are never sent to us. Those websites see your visit as they would in a browser and may use cookies. Web Capture also downloads yt-dlp, Deno and FFmpeg directly from their publishers on GitHub and, on macOS, evermeet.cx.

Voice Studio

Speech is generated on your computer. Your scripts and voice recordings are not uploaded.

Online libraries and free sound updates

Searches in online libraries such as Freesound and OpenGameArt are sent directly to those sites. Free sound updates are downloaded from our storage on Cloudflare R2, which receives your IP address but nothing else about you.

Feedback

Only when you send feedback from the app, it sends your message, the app and system version, any contact details you choose to add, a one-way hashed device ID and a hashed network address. The hashes are used only to block spam and abuse. Messages are delivered to the developer through Discord.
